Working Title: Notorious

A Novella currently in the works. What would an “American” post-apocalypses look like?

Our Home is Dying, A short story in the making.

Blurb: Something happened to Mars 3.5 Billion years ago that devastated the planet, in sheer astronomical coincidence that was also around the same time Earth started to develop the building blocks of life. This story imagines a “what if” scenario where the end of Martian Society made way for Earth’s eventual bloom as a habitable planet.

“We were the only ones in the exhaling cosmos that held their breath. We knew out of the echos of sentient life we were about to take an exhausted exhale, and by doing so would kill ourselves.

Even the core underneath gave up on protecting us from space-time’s onslaught. The Sun’s once brightening gleam now radiates an invisible death. Our soil once prospered the fresh potential of a green tinted future, we raked red with dried blood, and with it a deathly scent attracting everyone left.

We told those who were desperate enough to eat what grows from such soil that what remained of their corpse would serve a purpose to rebuild our irreparable civility.”

An Excerpt from The Chosen Few

A tale in which out of billions of humans a handful achieved super-powers, and almost all became drunk on their newfound abilities. This begs the question, who or what will moderate them.

That was the first time any of them saw red lightning. Slower wouldn’t be the way to describe it, but the smite marrooned the air and the thunder pushed the six-hundred and eighty super humans back.

There was no dust to cloud anyone’s view, any debris was vaporized on impact, and the crater was illogically large for solely lighting. In the middle of the crater stood the Being, underneath Grande was alive, but only due to the willingness of the Being.

Grande’s muscles screamed louder than his own voice, yet leave it to the predictable species to stare at him and then dared to move forward. The Being–with a smile that gave off nothing but comfort– asked one favor to the millions of non-super humans, “may you please leave us?”
